Early Access Phase
Test Manager for YouTrack is currently under active development. We made a conscious decision to release it at this early stage because professional test management is essential for the day-to-day work of many enterprise teams. If you’ve been using Jira and Zephyr—you can find more information here. During the Early Access period, the app can be activated for free as a trial via the JetBrains Marketplace. We especially welcome your feedback during this phase.

Structured test management right within YouTrack. You can plan and organize test suites, test cases, and test steps without ever having to switch tools.

twenty20 for YouTrack

Today, project work and quality assurance are often handled using different tools. This results in disjointed workflows, duplicate data entry, and a lack of context. Test Manager bridges this gap by bringing structured test management directly into YouTrack.
Test suites, test cases, and test steps are represented as native YouTrack issues and take full advantage of everything YouTrack has to offer: custom fields, the roles and visibility model, comments, links, and search.
The app integrates into YouTrack as a separate section. Using a sidebar with tables and filters, you can view your test suites and use a flyout menu to view the details of individual test cases and their steps. New test steps are created directly within the context, sorted via drag-and-drop, and saved automatically. Attachments can also be added via drag-and-drop.
Special attention has been paid to seamless integration with YouTrack. The layout, interaction patterns, and design language are consistently aligned with JetBrains’ Ring UI, so that Test Manager feels like a natural part of your YouTrack instance. With every release, you can clearly see that significant development time has been invested in fine-tuning and user experience.
