Yes, our extensions can only be used in an existing YouTrack instance - regardless of whether it is a cloud or server version.
The easiest way to install is via the JetBrains Marketplace. On the respective app page in the Marketplace, enter the base URL of your YouTrack instance and click on "Install". You can manage all installed apps in your YouTrack instance under Administration -> Apps.
We currently provide all of our YouTrack apps free of charge. However, we are currently working on YouTrack apps that will be chargeable for larger teams. For small teams (1-10 users), our YouTrack apps are and will remain free to use.
All apps are continuously tested against the current main version. The respective minimum versions can be found on the detail page of the app.
The extensions are attached to documented extension points and do not affect the core logic.
All content is stored in the same databases that YouTrack uses anyway. There is no external data transfer.
Yes, the functions are independent of each other.
If you encounter any errors when using one of our YouTrack apps, please contact us.
New versions appear in the JetBrains Marketplace. Updates are displayed in the apps overview of your YouTrack instance and can be installed with one click. However, YouTrack only checks for app updates once a week. You can perform a manual update check. We have described how to do this in this article.
