twenty20 for YouTrack

In growing teams, it often happens that several people edit the same knowledge base article at the same time without realizing it. The result: duplicate work, accidentally overwritten changes, and frustration.
Edit in Progress bridges this gap by displaying concurrent edits directly on the article, showing the editor's name, the duration of the edit, and a detailed user card when hovered over.
As soon as a knowledge base article is opened for editing, the app displays a clear notification to all other users, such as “Being edited by John Doe for the past 28 minutes.” This lets you see at a glance whether it makes sense to start editing right away or whether you should check with someone first.
If multiple users are editing at the same time, the people involved are displayed together. The app deliberately does not use hard locking: parallel edits are still possible, but they are made visible so that teams can coordinate in a timely manner.
Edit in Progress operates within your YouTrack instance and uses the user data already stored there to display active edits. No personal data is transferred to twenty20 third parties.
Edit in Progress is a small utility that our customers frequently request. JetBrains plans to integrate collaborative editing directly into YouTrack.
