YouTrack App Creators Day 2025 in Munich

Long awaited, finally here: YouTrack App Creators Day from November 20-21, 2025, at the JetBrains offices in Munich.

Arrival, Wednesday, November 19, 2025

Spontaneously, you think, okay, three people get in a car or on a train and travel relaxed to Munich. Chat a bit, prepare a bit, close your eyes a bit. Far from it! At agile and remote companies like twenty20 , even the journey there twenty20 a little different. Stephan flies in from the US, Moritz takes the train from Austria, Sebastian drives from Rhineland-Palatinate. And how could it be otherwise – a little drama is part of the deal. One of the three actually only arrived in Munich after a, well, "costly" taxi ride and a slight delay. Annoying, but the main thing is that he made it. Compensation for the hardships came right there on site with a cozy get-together on the hotel roof with mulled wine, curling, and the first really good conversations with other app developers and people from the JetBrains YouTrack universe.

Day 1, Thursday, November 20, 2025 – the concentrated knowledge transfer day

The community of YouTrack app developers is currently still, let's say, "manageable." As a relatively new tool in a market that has been dominated by Atlassian Jira for many years, this is of course completely understandable. That's precisely why it was so remarkable how many bright minds came together here and enriched the community with presentations and expertise in direct exchange. It opened up many new perspectives for us: who is developing in which direction, which use cases are we and other app developers concerned with. JetBrains also took the opportunity to give us some insight into their ideas and current roadmap. A truly exciting day!

Day 2, Friday, November 21, 2025 – One-on-one time

We continued with important discussions and direct exchanges on a wide variety of topics. From marketing the YouTrack apps to developer strategies and tools to really in-depth code discussions (where, incidentally, you'll always find our colleague Sebastian at the forefront), pretty much everything was covered. And that was really good and very, very important. App developers with JetBrains developers, strategists with technical sales people—many different perspectives, all working toward the same goal. Namely, to further develop the YouTrack product into an even more modern and, above all, useful tool for project management in a wide variety of teams.

A big compliment also goes to the organizers, Lena Pishkova and Yuriy Litvinenko: the schedule, location, and setting were just perfect! And of course: thank you for the invitation and for allowing us to present our ideas on this stage. 💙

As a YouTrack Certified Partner and dedicated app developer, we at twenty20 are twenty20 to be part of this ecosystem and to actively shape it with our own apps. We look forward to staying in touch with the community. And we know that this idea is not just the result of post-event euphoria, but is actually a reality, because it is already happening. Nevertheless, we are aware that there is a lot of work ahead of us and, above all, ahead of JetBrains. Whether it's establishing and expanding the Marketplace into a truly competitive product or further promoting the YouTrack tool in markets around the world. We are ready to actively tackle this, and we feel that the members of the community are too.

Honored YouTrack App Creator – this award was presented to six of our Twenty20 . We believe this is well deserved. In software/app development, good results are always a team effort. From brainstorming to defining the MVP and tech stack, developing the UX/UI, programming, and finally launching the product, there are many steps to take and many people with specific expertise involved in the development process. This is the only way to ensure a good end product. Or to put it another way: only Sunday roast is best when cooked in its own juices.
