A standard with deep roots

Gold Standard was launched in 2003 by WWF and other international NGOs. The aim was to promote projects that reduce CO2 emissions and ensure that they make a reliable contribution to sustainable development. All Gold Standard certified projects and programs are aligned with both the goals of the Paris Climate Agreement and the 17 Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations.
